Are You A Hero??

We'll be losing Sam after the next couple of shows, we need a hip shaking, sweet singing, bass thumping replacement......read on

Yes, that’s right folks. Bass player Sam is leaving to follow his dreams (and family) around the world.  After travelling over 75 000 kms together around the country over the last couple of years, the band will miss him greatly, but they will be constantly reminded of him by the seemingly indelible imprint he left on the seat of the van.

So the final shows are gearing up to be one massive long farewell party - with the Jive show also serving as the launch for Sam’s new solo album. He will be performing a special intimate set to start the night.  The Hucks & Sam cordially invite friends, family and fans along.

It’s not all bad news though, as the band would like to announce the hunt to find the ‘Huckleberry Hero’ who will replace Sam.

ARE YOU THE NEXT HUCKLEBERRY HERO?

Budding replacements should come along to one of the shows to catch the Hucks in action, and see if they think they have what it takes to fill those shoes.  The right hero is vital, as the band are currently cooking up new songs for their next release and hunting for a new publishing and recording deal to continue their plans for world domination.

There are also plans afoot for a “bass off” using a special Huckleberry Swedes axe designed from a stringless tennis racquet.  Auditions are gonna be ‘Bigger than Jesus’ and will be streamed live to your iTweet using our special FaceSpace app which collects all your personal information (later sold on to evil corporations to profit us immeasurably). Goggle it. There’ll be millions of hats.

OK, that last bit’s not strictly true – but the band are hunting for a goddamn great bass player, and they’d love to hear from you if you’ve got the goods. So come to one of the shows and introduce yourself (not during the gig though)
