Troy Loakes on vocals and acoustic guitar (has refused to go electric so far, unlike one of his heroes), has chanced his arm as a troubadour from the rundown A6 towns of the East Midlands UK, to the crisp burning Simpson Desert, singing his soul out into the very atmosphere, flippant one moment poignant the next, no punches pulled persona. Influences include Paul Kelly, Hank Williams, The Gourds and the Clash.
